"It is illogical that other four airlines also put R Gaikwad on a no-fly list".

An official at an airline who did not want to be named said staff have been instructed to conduct hourly checks for any ticket booked under his name so that Gaikwad is not flown even by mistake.

India's civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said: "Violence of any kind can be a disaster for airlines. Around November 2014, there was a lot of discussion and a civil aviation requirement was put out by the government which had to do with demeanour of a person", Raju said.

Hong Kong set to get new leader as anointed by Beijing
After the appointment by the central government, she will take oath of office on July 1 and become the fifth-term chief executive. It would have allowed the public to vote for the city's leader in 2017, but would have insisted candidates were vetted first.

Gaikwad, an MP from Osmanabad, had on Saturday attacked an Air India manager with a sandal for not providing him a business class seat in a flight to Delhi.

He has since maintained a low profile and is said to have moved to a secret location. "In fact, the Union Minister was in the loop when the decision to ban Gaikwad was taken". Previous year an MP was arrested on charges of assaulting an airline official after he and his family were prevented from boarding a flight because the gate had closed.

Shiv Sena has defended Gaikwad.

Gaikwad, a first-time MP from Maharashtra's Osmanabad, was then blacklisted by Air India and five other airlines, including IndiGo, SpiceJet, GoAir, Jet Airways and Vistara. There is no sort of defence of the Sena MP as he admitted all the charges in front of the camera and CCTV footage clearly revealed his arrogant attitude towards the staff and that trapped him for one final time.
