"Bill O'Reilly has adopted a strategy of silence but the ad industry should not", said Scott Kowalchek, DirectAvenue CEO and TV advertising expert, referring to the fact that O'Reilly has not commented on the accusations in his show "The O'Reilly Factor" since the story broke. O'Reilly has denied wrongdoing and said he supported the settlements so his family wouldn't be hurt.

Fox News paid O'Reilly $18 million in 2016, and his contract with the network expires this year.

"I feel like President Trump is making our entire country a hostile environment for working women", asserted Lisa Bloom, attorney for Wendy Walsh, a former Fox News guest and one of O'Reilly's accusers.

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly may be losing advertisers amid his recently uncovered sexual harassment scandals, but viewers don't seem to be phased.

On Tuesday, multiple advocacy groups started social media campaigns targeting companies sponsoring "The O'Reilly Factor". His defenders include President Donald Trump.

Reports emerged this week that $13 million were paid to five women who accused O'Reilly of sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct.

Due to these arbitration clauses, which Carlson described as "pervasive", many sexual harassment claims stay under wraps.

Likely being the operative word. "Absolutely not for any political purposes, to spy, expose, anything", she added. Although there is still no proof that the president was subject to a wiretap or any sort of direct surveillance.

"They have treated women very badly", Waters said, referring to Fox News.

It's not uncommon for a company to abandon a show at the first sign of controversy, then slip back a few weeks later when things quiet down. She said Trump "just called a bunch of women liars", adding that's designed "to shut us up".

O'Reilly apologized last week for a glib remark about Waters' hair.

Waters said Trump and O'Reilly "are two of a kind". The company normally doesn't advertise on shows that do political commentary, and it has suspended all of its Fox ads until it can be sure none are shown on O'Reilly's show, a spokesman said.
