It also has more stable, stronger 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the new Fire TV user interface and comes bundled with an Alexa Voice Remote. It features a new quad-core processor that makes it 30 percent faster than the previous version, according to the company.
Interestingly, nearly all of Jay Z's albums are still available to stream on Google Play Music.
Most of the original albums have been removed, however, content where he is a featured artist or collaborator, and maybe not the only owner of the content, is still available for streaming. Last year, his 2001 album "The Blueprint" was also removed from all streaming services other than Tidal. While it's probably good optics for an owner of a streaming service to remove his music from competing services, it's interesting that it took this long, possibly thanks to licensing arrangements involving third parties.
At press time, Jay Z's collaborations with R. Kelly and Linkin Park are still on all three platforms, while his full catalog-minus the aforementioned Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint series-remain on Google Play. As of now (April 7), Tidal and Amazon exclusively hold all of the rapper's music.
