LA Dodgers To Unveil Jackie Robinson Statue This Weekend

Robinson is the only major league baseball player to have his number, 42, which has been retired league wide.

Jackie Robinson was the first player of color to cross the lines of segregation in Major League Baseball on April 15, 1947.

Robinson's wife, Sharon, his children, and 200 other family and friends are among the special guests committed to attend the ceremony.

N'Golo Kante tips Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard for PFA award
He told The Mirror: "Last season we were champions with Leicester and at the moment we are top of the league with Chelsea ". Chelsea defeated City 2-1 midweek at Stamford Bridge with a trip to Dean Court to play AFC Bournemouth to come this weekend.

The Dodgers will take on the Diamondbacks at 6:10pm local time.

Pee Wee Reese - who, legend has it, put his hand on Robinson's shoulder as a show of solidarity in Cincinnati later that year - came to Robinson's defense, and manager Leo Durocher soon quashed the petition. But it would be an additional seven years before Selig designated April 15 as the perennial "Jackie Robinson Day" to be celebrated by all major league franchises. Robinson had a bunt single in the seventh inning that helped to spark a 3-run-rally, and the Dodgers went on to win, 5-3. That's where the Georgia-born Jackie grew up and first became a four-sport standout in football, basketball, track and baseball at John Muir High. That includes the unveiling of a brand new bronze statue, which will be permanently displayed outside Dodger Stadium.

"My dad was a humble person", Sharon said.

Consensus No. 1 pick Myles Garrett studied Buffalo Bills legend Bruce Smith
A trade down would fit with Cleveland's current obsession to have as many baskets as possible for carrying their eggs. Garrett is not only the top talent in this draft class, but he's also incredibly knowledgeable, outspoken and driven.

"I remember I was shocked at the "Court Martial of Jackie Robinson", which is another movie on why he got court-martialed".
