Woods' design for the public golf course will be at Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri and the 19-hole course will be named "Payne's Valley" in tribute to the late Billy Payne, a three-time major victor.

The public course, called "Payne's Valley", will honor legacy of Payne Stewart, who was from Springfield.

Tiger Woods may return to golf next month, as potentially forecasted by NBC/Golf Channel analyst Notah Begay III.

Woods' design team, TGR, has already completed two courses: Bluejack National outside of Houston and Diamante's El Cardonal in Cabo San Lucas.

Bucs exercise 5th-year option for Mike Evans
Weekly head coach and player radio shows will continue to be broadcast on WDAE 620-AM, Tampa Bay's Sports Radio. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have planned a press conference for Wednesday for a "major announcement".

Stewart's wife Tracey says she's touched by the naming of this new course. It is scheduled to open in 2019.

Woods wasn't in Ozark Mountain Country to announce his return to playing competitive golf, though he did speak openly about his desire to play on the Champions Tour when he reaches the age of 50, which caught the attention of several folks in attendance.

This new course will be a public Par 3 golf course with 19 holes.

Woods, 41, who has played in few tournaments since 2014 because of back injuries, has become more involved in his TGR Ventures, which includes the Tiger Woods Foundation, a restaurant in his hometown of Jupiter, Florida, and TGR Design.

Woods still doesn't appear to be healthy after missing the Masters for a second consecutive year.

"The back is progressing", Woods told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday, per USA Today. Woods answered, "I was never opposed to that". Stewart won 11 times on the PGA Tour and captured three majors (PGA Championship and two U.S. Open titles).

Woods got his start golfing on a par-3 course. The Bass Pro founder knows the Tiger Woods brand will give this course worldwide attention. "That's where I learned how to play".
