'The Daily Show' gang is reuniting on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

On Tuesday's edition of "The Late Show", host Stephen Colbert held a reunion with his "Daily Show" colleagues.

Stephen Colbert has made it abundantly through essentially every broadcast of his show since Donald Trump was elected that he is not a fan of the POTUS' policies or actions.

Why? Well first of all, the entire hullabaloo turned out to be largely drummed up by right-wing provocateurs.

He then weighed in on the recent backlash surrounding his friend Colbert. Sure, but now we're talking about a line comedians aren't allowed to cross, and we promise that scenario doesn't end well when drawn out. Jon Stewart as President.

"You look like a garden of earthly pleasures", Stewart added, "and I am a small handful of potpourri".

Jakarta's Christian governor jailed for blasphemy against Islam
In Indonesia blasphemy cases always lead to prison sentences (we are not aware of a case in which the defendant was acquitted). Thousands of police have been deployed in the capital because of tension between Purnama's supporters and opponents.

"When it was announced you were going to be the person... they didn't tell anyone on staff that Jon was going to be the new host, they just announced a press conference", Colbert said.

'That I do, ' Colbert replied. "I learned it from you, dad", he responded.

"I am not comfortable being here", Stewart said right of the bat. "You have to be really nice to them all day", Bee said.

Colbert then pointed to Stewart and said, "I wouldn't have this gig or any gig if it hadn't been for this man".

To Stewart's point, though, it must feel doubly weird for him and Colbert to navigate political comedy in an era when the man holding the highest office in the land is someone whose crude words can no longer be explained away as ratings gambits for a reality show.

Zurich Classic: Tee times, pairings for Monday's playoff
Cameron Smith birdied the fourth extra play-off hole to give him and Jonas Blixt victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orelans. Smith, who got into The Players Championship in two weeks with the win, was at first speechless about his victory with Blixt.

"I can't believe you're leaving right in the middle of the George W. Bush administration".

"There's never gonna be another president this good for comedy", she said.

Currently, Stewart is developing a project for HBO, where Oliver hosts "Last Week Tonight.' Bee hosts "Full Frontal" on TBS". That put him up 12 percent from the prior week, and gave him his biggest win over Jimmy Fallon since he assumed The Late Show gig back in September 2015.

There was also a part in the show which included recreating a scene from the break room of "The Daily Show" in summer of 2005, the time when Colbert left the show to start a spin-off series, "The Colbert Report".

COLBERT: Do you know that James Comey was sacked by Trump, right? Hold on! Which it was - I hate that guy, I love that guy, but Trump did, and they didn't know how to feel, and it was interesting to watch.
