LEADING OFF: Mets' Cabrera gets MRI, Sale faces Santana

Harvey is under team control through the 2018 season, but with the way things are going it seems unlikely that anything fruitful will come of his remaining time in NY.

Prado started the season on the disabled list with a hamstring injury he sustained in the World Baseball Classic. The team is searching for a reliable fifth starter until Seth Lugo or Steven Matz returns.

The Mets have enough to deal with on a daily basis given how many regulars are injured.

Harvey originally was scheduled to start the series finale against the Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon.

Matt Harvey has been suspended for three days without pay for violation of club rules.

Prince Philip, 95, keeps calm but won't carry on royal duty
The Duke of Edinburgh, who turns 96 on June 10, is the longest-serving consort in British history, and is still in good health. The meeting was called somewhat last minute, leading many to fear that some actual emergency was taking place at the palace.

Harvey reportedly played golf on Saturday and felt ill with a migraine.

In Harvey's case, who hasn't resembled his previous top-of-the-rotation form since the beginning of last season.

The latest suspension comes at a bad time with Harvey coming off two of the worst starts of his career. But he showed significant improvement from Saturday to Sunday and might be able to play Tuesday, against the White Sox.

The Mets called up Adam Wilk from Triple-A Las Vegas to start against the Marlins.

It was a tough position for Wilk to be in. He traveled a ton just to make it there in time for the game, arriving at about 8:45 am he said on the postgame. In better news for the Orioles, Chris Tillman is set to make his first start this season after battling right shoulder bursitis.

Harvey suspended, Stanton hits 2 HRs, Marlins beat Mets 7-0
Louis Cardinals recovered after blowing a four-run lead to beat the Atlanta Braves 6-4 on Sunday and complete a three-game sweep. It is hard enough to deal with that; now the Mets are dealing with another issue involving starting pitcher Matt Harvey.

It was a hard situation for everyone involved.

The Mets may learn Sunday the prognosis for shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, who left Saturday's game in the third inning with a left thumb injury suffered while he was diving for a single by Marlins left fielder Marcell Ozuna.

Harvey has reportedly filed a grievance in response to the suspension, which is a pretty clear indication that the relationship between Harvey and the Mets is as damaged as it has ever been, perhaps beyond fix.

We will undoubtedly learn more about what happened.

It told us what DIDN'T lead to Harvey getting suspended, but it didn't really explain the situation much further than that, and left plenty of questions unanswered.

One of baseball's best defenders may have made his best catch yet
So what should the former Jays slugger expect when his Cleveland Indians face the Jays in the first of a three-game series? On Sunday afternoon Barney broke up a 1-1 tie with a solo home in the 8th inning off Tampa Bay Rays starter Alex Cobb .
