Grande returns to lead Manchester concert

Ariana Grande will return to the stage Sunday in Manchester, England, for a concert to raise money for victims of a suicide bombing that struck at the end of her last show almost two weeks ago.

One Love Manchester is raising money for those affected by the bombing at the end of Ariana Grandes concert in Manchester on May 22, 2017.

Grande enlisted some of music's biggest names for the benefit concert, including Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Liam Gallagher.

A sell-out crowd of 50,000, many of them clutching "For our angels" signs, fell silent for a minute before Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford opened the show.

Mumford urged the crowd to "not be afraid".

Scott Dixon finishes second in Detroit to top IndyCar championship standings
Obviously when you have it, you don't want to miss opportunities, but hopefully the weather holds up and we can do it again". The second Dual in Detroit race is set for Belle Isle Sunday afternoon, with the green flag expected to unfurl at 3:30pm.

Grande made appearances throughout the show. The attack killed 22 and wounded dozens.

John Legend, Sheryl Crow, Ellie Goulding and Fifth Harmony all tweeted their respects for the star, while British journalist Piers Morgan apologised to Ariana after initially criticising her for leaving the United Kingdom immediately after the Manchester attack.

"It's very important. We need to stand united against it now".

As details emerged of Saturday's terror incident, Grande responded with a tweet: "Praying for London". But all had stated their commitment to the benefit concert in the week leading up to the show.

"My heart, prayers and deepest condolences are with the victims of the Manchester Attack and their loved ones".

Trump's North Atlantic Treaty Organisation debut does little to assure allies
Maybe that will make him more disposed to his European partners as they lobby him to stay in the Paris Climate Accord. On Thursday, Mr Trump brought the " America first " themes of his presidential campaign to the very heart of Europe.

"Manchester, your bravery is our hope", Braun said. He called the event a "statement that hatred and fear will never win". He sang and offered encouraging words to the crowd, who held inspirational signs in their hands.

On Friday, Grande visited some of her injured fans at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

The superstar brought each a sunflower and a teddy bear, according to Lauren Thorpe, whose eight-year-old daughter, Lily, suffered a shrapnel wound in her back as a result of the bombing.

This makes sense considering the concert was aimed at uniting people and igniting "love" for everyone everywhere, in light of the recent atrocities, as well as to raise the much needed funds to support those who had lost loved ones.

Following the attack on Ariana's concert at the Manchester MEN Arena on 22 May, which killed 22 people, she and Mac were reported to be "closer than ever" as he comforted her through the trauma. Backed by two singers and a guitarist, she delivered the song wearing all white, singing, "Throw your sticks and your stones, throw your bombs and your blows, but you're not gonna break my soul".
