Lynch conduct makes Feinstein 'queasy'

The third issue relates to testimony and questions surrounding reports claiming that Comey was in possession of a document purportedly indicating that Lynch would ensure the Clinton e-mail probe didn't go too far.

The senators cited stories in The New York Times and The Washington Post about a supposed Russian intelligence document saying Lynch had given assurances to the Clinton campaign about the FBI's investigation.

The top Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have launched an investigation into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch to find out if she interfered with the FBI's probe into Hillary's email server. The Post reported that the FBI considered the document bad intelligence and possibly even a fake sent to confuse the bureau.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Ia., the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., the Ranking Member, sent Lynch a letter asking her to provide relevant documents "by July 6, 2017".

The inquiry comes as the Senate Judiciary Committee examines the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, who President Trump says he dismissed due in part to his handling of the Clinton email probe.

He told the committee that he was concerned over the former attorney general telling the FBI to refer to the Clinton investigation as a "matter", not an investigation, which resembled the Clinton campaign line.

Circa's John Solomon and Sara A. Carter reported: "During the conversation, Comey told lawmakers he confronted Lynch with a highly sensitive piece of evidence, a communication between two political figures that suggested Lynch had agreed to put the kibosh on any prosecution of Clinton". It was also the tarmac meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton.

"To the best of your knowledge, did any of your Justice Department staff or your other associates communicate with Rep. Wasserman Schultz, her staff, her associates, or any other current or former DNC officials about the Clinton email investigation?"
