Holy Crisis: Tensions Mount Over Al-Aqsa Metal Detectors

On Friday, three Muslim Arab-Israeli terrorists murderered two Israeli police officers, using weapons they stored at the Al Aqsa mosque compound (presumably with help from Waqf officials) - a desecration of not only the sanctity of human life but the supposed holiness of the Temple Mount ('Haram esh-Sharif') to Muslims.

Muslims, however, refused to enter the site in protest to the newly-imposed security measures, including the installation of metal detectors and cameras.

Netanyahu, who is on a visit to Hungary, was consulting with security aides on whether to remove the metal detectors ahead of Friday's weekly prayers, which normally draw more than 30,000 worshippers to the compound.

Israeli forces attacked people outside the compound on Sunday.

The Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance service said at least 14 people had been injured in Tuesday's violence.

In his 22 starts at NHMS, Truex has no wins, three top-five and eight top-10 finishes with a 13.7 average finish. Larson held a one-point lead over Truex and the penalty, dropped him down to second place, 34 points behind.

The Palestinian Dar al-Ifta, an institute within the Palestinian Authority that issues religious edicts, condemned the arrest.

"We expected everyone to help restore calm", he said. They broke the locks of the drawers and safes under the pretext of inspecting the mosque, it said.

The statement called upon Israel not to take further measures that would fuel the conflict and increase the state of tension.

The Secretary-General also warned of the Israeli escalation that began last Friday, which included the imposition of various obstacles to the practice of Muslims of their religious rituals, such as the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and erecting electronic gates at the entrances of the compound. Never mind that the Saudis themselves have mandated the use of Global Positioning System bracelets at the annual Hajj pilgrimage to prevent violence and injury amid the millions of Muslims who travel to their prayer site in packed crowds for the Hajj's rock-throwing ritual.

Officials said Howlett's death is the first human fatality in the Atlantic Large Whale Disentanglement Network's history. Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Dominic LeBlanc says more needs to be done to protect right whales in the Gulf of St.

They said the Israeli measures are considered as collective punishment that violates the local and global laws.

The Wakf ordered Muslims not to comply with the new measures, warning yet again that the al-Aksa Mosque is endangered. Israeli security forces dragged and punched Palestinian worshippers at the scene and fired stun grenades at the crowd, Al Jazeera reported. Two Israeli officers were also lightly injured in the scuffles, police said.

The Israeli regime regularly shoots and detains Gazan fishermen over allegations of crossing the "designated fishing zone", which is practically three nautical miles.

There was no immediate comment from Palestinian officials.
